President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with security officials on the occasion of the use of Russian BM-21 "Grad" against the Armed Forces of Ukraine by militants.

The Head of State noted that those who had used "Grad" against the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be found and eliminated just like the group of terrorists headed by militant "Storm" that downed the Ukrainian helicopter of the CTO forces with the MANPAD "Igla". "Militants will pay hundreds of their lives for each life of our servicemen. Not a single terrorist will avoid responsibility, each of them will be punished," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

According to the President, all servicemen who protect the border, airports of Donetsk and Luhansk, other cities and inhabited localities risking their lives every minute are heroes in which the whole Ukraine believes. "The state respects its heroes and remembers everyone who sacrificed life for the protection of the country," the President stressed.

Petro Poroshenko also noted the actions of servicemen on the liberated territories. "It is extremely important that Ukrainian servicemen demonstrate responsible behavior from the very first second after liberation of the cities. They give their FSR, water and everything they have to local residents," he said.

The President highly evaluated the work of engineer-sapper units that had destroyed more than 100 mines and roadside bombs. He emphasized the necessity of improving the situation on the provision of personal protection means for servicemen. "It is important to equip every serviceman on the checkpoint with body armor and everything necessary," the Head of State said.
