Petro Poroshenko congratulated Bronislaw Komorowski on the 96th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Poland. "We are sincerely glad to see the success of our neighbors, who managed to go through the difficult path of transformations and make Poland a modern democratic European state due to the national unity and persistent work," the Head of State noted.
The President of Poland expressed gratitude to his Ukrainian colleague and emphasized that state independence was a great value both for Ukraine and Poland.
Bronislaw Komorowski also assured Ukraine of support and solidarity in the context of threats caused by the movement of militaries and heavy armament from Russia to the Donbas .
Petro Poroshenko and Bronislaw Komorowski agreed to continue their dialogue in the course of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and at the meeting between the Presidents of the Visegrad Group and Germany in Bratislava on November 16.
The parties discussed the preparation of the state visit of the Ukrainian President to the Republic of Poland scheduled for the end of the year.
