President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski in Bratislava.
The Presidents have coordinated their position on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Europe at the level of Foreign Ministers that will be held in Brussels on November 17.
The parties have also agreed on common coordinated steps until the end of the year at the meeting. Particularly, Petro Poroshenko and Bronislaw Komorowski will make a joint visit to Moldova on November 20. "We are planning to support the European integration aspirations of Moldova," the Ukrainian President informed.
"The fate of Moldova is important for us," he noted adding that the given country should become a positive example in the holding of reforms and European integration processes.
On December 17, the President of Ukraine is to make a state visit to Poland. According to him, active preparation to the visit is currently being held.
Speaking of the conclusions of the Visegrád Group, the President informed that all the countries had agreed on coordination of actions in the framework of the EU. He also called the projects in the sphere of energy security and economic support of Ukraine extremely interesting. At the same time he noted that the role of the Visegrád Group in the promotion of reforms in our country would be crucial.
Also, the two Presidents highly evaluated the inclusion of Ukraine in the format of the Visegrád Group. In the course of his conversation with journalists after the meeting, the President of Poland emphasized: "The Visegrád Group should be more involved in the affairs of Ukraine". Bronislaw Komorowski positively evaluated today's work of the Visegrád Group and stressed that all the countries of the Group clearly understood the importance of assisting Ukraine in the rapprochement with the EU.
Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Bronislaw Komorowski for the powerful support of Ukraine from the Polish people.
The Head of State invited the President of Poland to visit Ukraine at the beginning of 2015. The invitation was gladly accepted.
