President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott.
Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Tony Abbott for the support of Ukraine and its territorial integrity. "I am sincerely grateful for your incredible solidarity and efforts, which have made the topic of aggression against Ukraine the main one on the agenda of the G20 Summit in Brisbane," the President said. According to the Head of State, Ukrainians appreciate that Australia, which is so far yet so friendly, has taken a clear position of support to the peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donbas and condemned the violation of the international law.
Prime Minister Abbott noted that all leaders of the democratic world have unambiguously demonstrated support of Ukraine and its territorial integrity in the course of the Summit. He emphasized that Ukraine was fighting for freedom and democracy and the whole civilized world supported Ukraine in that struggle.
Also, Prime Minister Abbott invited the Ukrainian President to make a visit to Australia by the end of the year.
