We must stay together and trust one another – President at the meeting with Euromaidan activists
21 November 2014 17:26

On the occasion of the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, the Ukrainian President has met with public figures – initiators of Euromaidan who came to the first rally on November 21, 2013. "We must stay together and trust one another more. It is only with the common efforts that we can change our country for the better," Petro Poroshenko emphasized at the meeting.

The Head of State recalled the restless events that took place a year ago. "Both in 2004 and 2014, we were united by the desire for freedom and the necessity to protect human dignity. It was a non-party civic peaceful protest that united millions of Ukrainians and proved that we are capable of changing our country," the President said.

A sincere conversation has taken place at the meeting. Euromaidan activists and the President agreed on the necessity to develop more trust-based interaction between the civic sector, the newly elected parliamentarians, the executive authorities and the President.
