President Petro Poroshenko has held a trilateral meeting with President of France Francois Hollande and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
The parties have coordinated actions and discussed necessary conditions and schedule of preparations to the Summit in Astana in Normandy format. Particularly, the parties have emphasized that before the summit, the meeting of Foreign Ministers and the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group must be held in order to coordinate further concrete actions in the context of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
In the course of the visit to France, the President has held a series of short meetings with leaders of the EU countries, EU institutions and international organizations, particularly with Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi, Spain - Mariano Rajoy, Norway - Erna Solberg, Sweden Stefan Löfven, Israel - Benjamin Netanyahu, Slovenia - Miro Cerar, Luxembourg - Xavier Bettel, President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg and Secretary-General of the OECD José Ángel Gurría.
