President Petro Poroshenko has discussed the program of interaction and the plan of actions aimed at supporting the program of reforms in Ukraine with OECD Secretary-General José Ángel Gurría at the meeting in Davos.
José Ángel Gurría has confirmed that the decision of the OECD of March 12, 2014 on the suspension of the process of Russia's accession to the OECD and the intensification of cooperation with Ukraine remained in force. According to him, all members of the Organization still observe this position.
In the coming days, it is planned to carry out special joint events on the implementation of the anti-corruption policy of Ukraine and the establishment of the institutional capability. It goes about the fulfillment of a series of projects in the strategic economic sectors: agricultural business, mechanical engineering, energy sector (particularly renewable energy) and support of small and medium business.
José Ángel Gurría has assured that the OECD was willing to enhance the programs of cooperation with Ukraine. According to him, Estonia, Lithuania, USA, Slovakia, Sweden and the EU in general have already confirmed their readiness to become donors.
President Poroshenko has noted that 15 years of cooperation between Ukraine and the OECD created a good basis for the fulfillment of joint projects that would facilitate the implementation of reforms and the Association Agreement with the EU.
Within the World Economic Forum in Davos, the President of Ukraine is holding a series of bilateral meetings.
