Within the framework of the official visit of President of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Ukraine the bilateral meeting between Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Pavlo Klimkin and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu was held.
The Ministers discussed the current issues of bilateral agenda, as well as the regional and international issues.
Mr. Pavlo Klimkin informed his colleague on the situation in East of Ukraine and Crimea. In this regard Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed concerns about the situation, particularly the violations of human rights on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and emphasized support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The Ministers agreed to continue interaction at the bilateral level and within the international organizations in particular to protect the rights of Crimean Tatars.
The Sides also discussed the issue of strengthening of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine.
