Subsidy system reform is being hold in Ukraine: simple and convenient procedure has been implemented

Ukraine has introduced a new compensatory mechanism of social protection of the population, which will help citizens under conditions when tariffs for housing and communal services are being brought to market value. This was stated by Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on Friday, April 10, during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada.

The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine stressed that for the first time a service to inform public quality about subsidies in Ukraine has been established: each household will receive by mail information about the mechanism of subsidies, forms of application and declaration and instructions how to fill them. Ukrainian citizens, according to him, haven’t no longer to stand in line for this service, as it was before.

The only criterion to obtain housing subsidies from now is the level of family income. Pavlo Rozenko stressed that there have been cancelled all artificial criteria and an official has no longer the right to deprive the person entitled to the subsidy of it.

The Government reduced significantly the list of documents that citizens submit for subsidies, a period during which a targeted governmental assistance will be provided increased twofold and unnecessary criteria to calculate incomes of citizens also were abolished.
