Petro Poroshenko thanked Joseph Biden for sending American troops to Ukraine in order to conduct joint exercise "Fearless Guardian - 2015" and for his personal contribution to the implementation of this project. "It is a new and important page that proved the strategic level of partnership between Ukraine and USA," the President said.

The parties have coordinated further actions in the sphere of defense, particularly on the provision of additional aid for Ukraine.

Vice President Biden has informed on the willingness of the United States to provide loan guarantees for Ukraine in the amount of USD 1 billion within the financial support in 2015. He has also reported on the funding of projects for the provision of humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons and victims of the war in Donbas.
