President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven.
The Prime Minister of Sweden has congratulated the President of Ukraine on the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe and noted a significant contribution of Ukrainians in that Victory.
The parties have recognized that the situation in Donbas remained tense and discussed ways to avoid further escalation. Stefan Lofven has emphasized that the Minsk agreements should be fully implemented. Petro Poroshenko has stressed that the deployment of the peacekeeping mission in Donbas would facilitate that.
The parties have also coordinated their actions on visa liberalization for Ukrainians in the course of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.
