From the very beginning Ukraine did everything to ensure an impartial and transparent investigation into the causes of downing Boeing MH 17. This was stated by the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Ukraine KeesKlompenhouwer while handing over to Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine, Chairman of the Governmental Commission on investigating causes of Boeing-777-200 plane crash Hennadii Zubko a letter of gratitude and a commemorative token from Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte during a meeting taking place on Tuesday.
"We have worked in close cooperation. This collaboration was effective, as well. So, we believe our effective cooperation will prolong in the future”, said Kees Klompenhouwer.
Hennadii Zubko announced a Ukrainian delegation is due to depart for the Netherlands through August 10-12, where it will take place a technical reconstruction of the aircraft and of the events that occurred in July of last year. "In addition, there will be considered a technical report and provided comments by each of the countries involved in the investigation process," he added.
"Ukrainian services, namely Ukraerorukh, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, will provide recommendations which will help to avoid such a catastrophe in the future," explained the official.
Hennadii Zubko noted that it is an invariable stance of Ukraine that the investigation process should be transparent and open.
"The President and the Government of Ukraine supports the establishing of an international tribunal. We believe that an international investigation and analysis of this tragedy would afford to prevent countries of the world from such crimes", accentuated the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
"We transferred the investigation over to the Dutch side to ensure the impartiality of the process. The requirement of the international tribunal was a consolidated position of the five concerned countries. But Russia did not want an open impartial justice, by blocking a corresponding decision of the UN Security Council," reminded Hennadii Zubko.
"We do not pay attention to blocking the decision of the Security Council and we have alternative ways to accomplish this matter," he said.
