President Petro Poroshenko signed Decree “On the Events on the Occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Babi Yar Tragedy” to establish the organizational committee on marking the above mentioned event in September 2016.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Head of the Presidential Administration shall be appointed co-heads of the committee.

The document provides for mourning events in the National Historical Memorial Reserve "Babi Yar"; exposure of crimes of the Nazis during the occupation of Kyiv in the years of the Second World War, including the mass murder of Jews on September 29 - 30, 1941 at Babi Yar. It is also provided for the holding of the international contest for the projects of future development of the reserve.
