President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law on the foundation of a new state decoration - the order of Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya.

Under the document, the Law "On state awards of Ukraine" adds the order of Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya to the list of state decorations. It will be awarded for "civil courage, patriotism, upholding the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, active charity, humanitarian and social activities in Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people during the Revolution of Dignity (November 2013 – February 2014) and other measures related to the protection of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine".

In the course of two weeks since the given law enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers is to establish a commission on holding the nationwide contest for the best design of the order. The commission must include representatives of civic associations and activists-participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
