Ukraine welcomes successful elections to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People of Tunisia on October 26, 2014.
It was reported that the voting process monitored by up to eight hundred international and ten thousand domestic election observers was duly organized, and the turnout was perceptibly high. Sunday’s vote demonstrated how committed the Tunisian people are to freedom and democracy, as well as to their determination to build a modern and flourishing state.
It is important that elections to the parliament and presidential elections to be held on November 23, 2014 will put an end to Tunisia’s political transition period, and its newly-elected leadership will launch reforms expected by the Tunisian society.
Ukraine looks forward to rapid reviving of its dynamic bilateral cooperation with Tunisia in the areas of common interest, in particular on political, trade and economic, scientific and educational levels.
