"The whole world is shocked by the terrible tragedy in Mariupol. Terrorist attack has killed dozens of Ukrainians and wounded hundreds of innocent victims, including children. Evil will be punished," the President said before his departure from Saudi Arabia.

"Special operation on bringing to justice the perpetrators of this dreadful crime has started right after the tragedy. State and security institutions provide every necessary assistance to the people affected by the terrorist attack. We will do everything to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state and will not let terrorists create chaos on our land," the President noted.

The President has reached an agreement on the necessity of holding negotiations in Geneva format with participation of the United States, EU, Ukraine and Russia.

"We underline that the Ukrainian special forces have undeniable evidence regarding those who committed and organized this terrorist attack. They are the evidence base to prosecute the organizers and performers. We insist on the world's recognition of the so-called DPR and LPR terrorist organizations," the Head of State emphasized.
