On Friday, August 7, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk received Chairman of the EU advisory mission on civil security sector reform in Ukraine Kalman Mizsei.
Kalman Mizsei praised the progress in reforms carried out by the Government of Ukraine, in particular, in the field of law enforcement and customs reform.
The Chairman of the EU advisory mission informed the Prime Minister of Ukraine about the development and results of the cooperation between European experts and public authorities in the establishment and effective operation of national police as well as the use of European experience in improvement of the civil security sector.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted significant contribution of the EU advisory mission in numerous regulatory changes and specific practical developments in this area - from the development of new legislation, its expert analysis to the formation of qualitatively new forces protecting public safety and order.
The participants of the meeting discussed the further plans of cooperation, in particular on specific steps for expansion of cooperation between European experts and territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other relevant agencies.
