Bandits, mercenaries and Russian militaries keep on killing Ukrainians almost every day, as stated by President Petro Poroshenko at the reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine. According to the President, it is the most grievous pain for him.
The President told that he has recently communicated with Donetsk and Luhansk RSA Heads and has been informed that 4 children had been wounded today. One baby, 3-year-old, died. Three children are heavily wounded and doctors are struggling to save their lives at the moment. "These are the consequences of the aggression, from which Ukraine suffers every day," Petro Poroshenko said.
Noting that the Russian aggression is extremely exhausting for Ukraine in security, economic and financial context, the President emphasized: "We must remember that we defend not only Ukraine, but also civilizational values of the entire democratic world. I am sure that the developments in Ukraine are the continuation of the creation of Europe".
The President is confident that "in joint solidarity with the entire world, Ukraine can stop impudent and cynical mockery of the international law, state sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the whole international security architecture".
The President addressed the representatives of foreign diplomatic missions with the words of gratitude "for a powerful support and invaluable assistance provided by our partners in the gruelling time". At the same time, the Head of State urged foreign leaders "to uphold Ukraine and join its struggle for values, security, truth and peace! This is what it is all about in Donbas and Crimea today".
