President Petro Poroshenko informed on the results of participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the UN Conference on Climate Change. According to him, Ukraine clearly outlined its position and used that opportunity to carry out more than 30 meetings with Presidents and Prime Ministers.
Particularly, the Ukrainian President met with the President of the European Council, President of the European Commission, Chancellor of Germany, President of France, UK Prime Minister etc. "We've coordinated our actions on the implementation of the Minsk plan, activity of the Contact Group and agenda of the next meeting of Foreign Ministers in the Normandy format," the President informed.
Besides, according to the Head of State, the parties coordinated positions on the eve of the meeting at the ministerial level in the format Ukraine-EU-Russia on the introduction of FTA between Ukraine and the European Union to be held on December 1 in Brussels.
Also, President Poroshenko had a frank and trusting conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which lasted more than an hour. In the course of the meeting, the Presidents agreed on further action plan on Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation. Particularly, they discussed preparations to the visit of the Ukrainian President to Turkey planned for the first quarter of 2016. "We expect significant breakthrough from this visit. We will demonstrate a series of elaborations in economic, political and security cooperation," the President noted.
The Head of State informed on efficient negotiations with newly elected Prime Ministers of Australia and Canada. "Basically, we discussed coordination of actions on prolongation of sanctions against Russia in case of non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements by the end of the year," the President said.
The President noted that all tasks of the delegation had been fulfilled in the course of the visit.
