The university is an educational initiative of the Ukrainian BIONIC HILL innovation park. The institution will prepare more than a thousand specialists a year, and cooperate with leading companies.

The university will train IT-professionals in three areas: Tech Skills (programming), Soft Skills (social interaction skills), Entrepreneurship (entrepreneurial skills).

The university operates on the basis of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, which is the main educational partner of BIONIC University. After the opening of the first stage of BIONIC HILL in 2015, the university will move into the territory of the innovation park to its own building, next to which modern hostels will be built.

Before the official opening, BIONIC University for nearly a year worked in a test mode. During this time the university developed training programs, rules for selecting participants, formed a team of trainers, invited corporate and educational partners.

BIONIC University is the educational initiative of BIONIC Hill innovation park. The main objective of BIONIC University is creating the innovation system which provides for training of highly skilled specialists for the flagship companies of IT industry and other high-tech industries of Ukraine. At the fist stage of development, BIONIC University priority shall be establishing the system of professionals' training which is the most focused on actual needs of IT industry. BIONIC University is aimed at forming professionals' elite in the high-tech domain.
